If you would like to stop certain signs of aging in their tracks, Bellafill® is a wonderful choice for facial rejuvenation. Bellafill is an FDA-approved facial filler that is proven to last five years or more. Our patients love the fact that Bellafill’s results are immediate, and only one to two treatments are usually required to achieve your desired effects.

Experienced Pennsylvania plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Louton is excited to be able to offer such a unique and effective facial filler to his patients. Bellafill is quick and easy, with no downtime required. Choose Bellafill alone or as part of your comprehensive facial rejuvenation program

Bellafill’s Unique Makeup

Bellafill is made up of tiny microspheres called PMMA, or poly-methyl-methacrylate, set inside a collagen gel. This gel is purified bovine collagen, offering many of the same benefits as human collagen. An anesthetic is mixed into the substance to ensure comfort during the treatment. Over time, the collagen dissolves into the skin, leaving the PMMA molecules in place to provide support for the skin.

When to Use Bellafill

Dr. Robert Louton recommends Bellafill for the treatment of smile lines (nasolabial folds) and for patients desiring a long-term solution. Bellafill is also very effective for:

  • Lines below the mouth
  • Scars
  • Facial depressions

If you have fine lines on the face, you may want to consider the benefits of Juvederm or Elevess. To add volume to the skin, Radiesse may be your best option.

Your Bellafill Treatment

Dr. Louton will test your skin for several weeks prior to your treatment session to ensure you do not have a bovine collagen allergy. Bellafill treatments can be done over a lunch hour, lasting only about 20 minutes per session. If multiple facial areas are being treated, the session could take longer. After your initial treatment, Dr. Louton may recommend another small-dose session in a few months to enhance your results.

After your injection of Bellafill, slight tenderness, redness, swelling, or itching is common and should resolve within a day or two. Dr. Louton will provide specific recommendations for after-care of the area. For instance, you should avoid touching, rubbing, or applying makeup to the facial injection site for 24 hours.

Experienced facial rejuvenation specialist Dr. Robert Louton has many nonsurgical solutions for you to choose from.
