VISIA – COMPLEXION ANALYSIS

VISIA Complexion Analysis provides the information necessary to truly individualize facial rejuvenation and skin care regimens to match your unique complexion profile.

VISIA can help save the skin from rapid aging by accurately diagnosing adverse conditions that may not show on the surface of the skin for another ten years.

A VISIA imaging session uses multi-spectral imaging and analysis to capture key visual information for six areas affecting complexion health and appearance: wrinkles, spots, pores, evenness (color variation in the skin tone), porphyrins (evidence of bacteria in pores), and UV spots (characteristic of photodamage, typically from overexposure to sun). An informative comparison of your complexion’s characteristics to those of other women of your same age and skin type is then created.

Additionally, VISIA provides comprehensive information enabling your Centre for Cosmetic Medicine Skin Care Specialist to present the optimal treatments and regimens that are right for you. A printed report (which you can take home) provides details of your imaging session and recommended rejuvenation and skin care options.

Consultations

Your 60 minute consultation will begin with a thorough health and skin care history review. Our discussion will then focus on your skin concerns. An individualized corrective program will be designed for you using a combination of non-invasive skin procedures, cosmeceuticals, and prescriptive medicines if needed. When indicated, and if time allows, you may be able to kick start your program with one of our effective treatments that very same day.

Micropeel

The Micropeel is a three-step process that removes a micro-thin top layer of skin, unclogs pores, and encourages faster cellular turnover. Excellent for the control of acne breakouts and to create an even skin tone.

Micropeel Plus

This non-ablative beta-hydroxy peel refines and refreshes the skin, decreases brown pigmentation and calms rosacea and acne. It's the perfect solution for excessively oily skin.

Megapeel microdermabrasion

A flow of fine crystals with applied vacuum suction results in a gentle "sandblasting" of skin, removing dead surface cells and deep cleaning the pores. A series of treatments faces away pigment and softens surface irregularities, such as fine wrinkles and scars.

Photofacials (IPL)

Photo rejuvenation is designed to combat the effects of aging in a gentler way. The intense pulsed light treats age spost, broken capillaries, blotchy pigmentation, and improves the appearance of wrinkles. A series of treatments is recommended to produce maximum results.

Cosmeceuticals

How you care for your skin on a daily basis is key to achieving and maintaining the best possible results. Centre for Cosmetic Medicine owns and operates the following technology:

Lumenis One

is a multiple laser platform containing 3 separate technologies; NdYag 1064 Laser for the treatment of leg veins, Lightsheer Diode Laser for hair removal, and the Intense Pulse Light for skin rejuvenation procedure.  The Lumenis One is available at our altoona location.

LightSheer Diode Laser

is the most advanced treatment for removal of dark, unwanted hair. The light is absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles, heating up and disabling numerous hairs simultaneously. The treatments are safe, quick, and effective for all skin types. Prices vary depending on area treated and start as low as $100.

Diolite 532 Laser

is the treatment of choice to eliminate superficial facial spider veins (red broken vessels), cherry angiomas (slightly raised, red lesions), and brown pigmented lesions such as freckles, sun spots, and pigmented keratoses. The treatment is mild, precise and non-traumatic to the surrounding tissue. Prices start at $100.

Erbium Resurfacing Laser

is specifically designed to remove spperficial and deep wrinkles. It stimulates the production of collagen and tightens as it smooths the skin. Treatment with the Erbium laser is perfect for the correction of sun-damaged, prematurely aged skin. The entire face can be resurfaced or treatment can be limited to around the mouth or eye area.

Starlux Intense Pulse Light (IPL)

is a uniquely versatile system. Its interchangeable hand pieces allow for multiple uses such as hair removal, acne light treatments, photofacials, leg vein removal, and Fraxel (Fractional Photothermolysis). Prices range according to type of treatment.  The Starlux system is available at our State College office location.
