Why should I choose Dr. Louton as my breast augmentation surgeon?

Pennsylvania plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Louton has helped hundreds of women achieve their breast enlargement goals with experienced guidance and skilled surgical precision. Dr. Louton is committed to offering an unparalleled experience and is dedicated to optimal patient safety and quality results. He is board-certified and our on-site facility, The Center for the Surgical Arts, is fully accredited by the American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF).

How large of an implant should I have?

Your new breast size is a very personal decision that should be made carefully. During your first breast surgery consultation, you will have a chance to view your actual implant types and sizes, and learn about the benefits of each. Our patients find it very helpful to view breast augmentation before and after photos.

Please feel free to bring in magazine photos of examples you like. After discussing your options with Dr. Louton, you can take some time to think about your perfect size.

When can I go back to work and resume normal activities?

This date may vary depending on your response to the healing process and what activities you do on a daily basis. For instance, patients with desk jobs may be able to return to work quicker than patients with jobs that involve heavy lifting or manual labor. It is very important that you follow all of Dr. Louton’s post-operative breast surgery guidelines carefully in order to ensure correct healing. In general, patients may return to all normal activities in approximately three to four weeks.

Will there be a lot of pain during and after the breast enlargement procedure?

Breast enlargement is a surgical procedure involving incisions, so there will be some trauma to the skin and breast tissue. However, you will not feel a thing during the actual surgery. Dr. Louton will provide you with a pain pump to reduce discomfort after the surgery.

In order to minimize soreness and swelling, make sure you follow Dr. Louton’s followup care instructions precisely. You will also be asked to report any unexpected discomfort to us so we can evaluate your progress and adjust your pain medication dosage as needed.

Should I choose saline or silicone implants?

Both types of implants have unique benefits that deserve consideration. The best way to choose your ideal type is to schedule a confidential consultation with Dr. Louton. You can also read more about the type of breast implants offered at Blair Plastic Surgery.
