Tumescent Liposuction

Tumescent liposuction is named for the special solution used to encourage convenient removal of the fat cells. Tumescent solution, consisting of sterile saline and anesthetic, is injected into the treatment area. The solution works to plump up the fat cells, making them swell and become firm for easy removal. It also helps the cells separate. The numbing solution works to minimize your discomfort.

The use of the tumescent solution helps Dr. Louton to be extremely precise in removing a specific amount of fat, and many of our patients appreciate the fact that the doctor has a high degree of control. Ultrasonic Liposuction

Ultrasonic liposuction (UAL) allows Dr. Louton to treat fat cells with ultrasound energy. A special ultrasound wand, called a cannula, is inserted under the skin and passed over all of the fat that is to be removed. This high-frequency energy causes your fat cells to rupture, separate, and liquefy, allowing Dr. Louton to remove them with ease.
